You've spurred on a discussion by another travelling fan! I think that's what is at the heart of most people's desire to be financially free... to be free to explore the world.
I'd love to see more of Australia - I have seen a lot growing up (you know, in the 4WD, aluminium dingy and tent or pop up caravan - the real Australia). I've done a few trips like this (minus the dingy and caravan!) over the last few years... and would love to keep it up.
Apart from that I would have to be boring and anywhere say Western Europe. It is, after all, our motherland. I am a bit of a history fan, and just to think that a chain of historical events across Europe lead to the British colonising Australia - just to think, we could have all been speaking Portugese, Dutch or Spanish!!
A long time ago. I purchased shares in a tech company after hearing news on the grapevine about how well they were performing. I thought I had received a 'great tip'... It would have been if I had purchased 48 hours earlier. I eventually sold them for 20% of the original price, or thereabouts. Just another example of being new to the game. I haven't really purchased shares since but that's not a result of lack of confidence, it's a lack of funds and other investment priorities. Cheers.
Driving. lifting anything over 1 kilo and if you think about that it is anything over a ltr of milk, not easy given I have Konnarra fireplace, most logs of ood are over 1 kl. no turning too much and common sense. I can take my collar of to sleep and sitting watching TV etc, usual things like sweeping, vaccuming, etc are no no and lifting anything above shoulder height. I am so determined to be good but when you live on your own and you are a born workaholic I know it will be difficult.

Fortunately once the business is closed I will be able to take care of them and return to the regime of paying in full every month as we did before the huge downturn nearly a year ago. And when our house is sold I will return to share trading which is where I should have stayed because it was far more lucrative than retail has been for me and more fun and less stress.
That's great that you're feeling so good post-surgery. I've had some good friends who have not been so lucky. One tip - take the surgeon's advice. It will save you a lot of pain in the future for a bit of inconvenience now. 3 months is a long time though... what kind of things do you have to avoid doing?
Thanks Tony,
Hopefully this is not just the honeymon period, I am feeling wonderful and have not been so pain ree for more than 10 years. The hardest bit is not doing all the things I must not do for 3 months. Determined I shall as I do truly feel magic and do not want to destroy the good work my wonderful surgeon has done.

Hi Tony. Thanks for your welcome. My strategy is making use of my current skills. I continue to gather experience and knowledge at a fast rate and Im looking for a niche. Im happy to be patient as I know I will get there!
So, you lost big on a development. How long ago was that, have you managed to recover financially ? And if so, what type of investing are you now concentrating on ? Never give up !
Hi Nikky,
Apologies for the delay, I have been away on hols and a little time off due to illness. All better now. Has your' lender dropped their rates any further since we last communicated? Depending on your' total debt amount, you should…
