Too true - you can hide it away by tapping it into a hidden file on a computer, but I suppose it would be more confronting to write it down. Not sure I'd like to find out how much I spend on alcohol each month...might be too confronting for my liking!

I can imagine it would have! Which probably helps in getting repeat clients!! You could probably help a few people out by warning them about what to look out for...

I can imagine it would be. It would be a shock to the system for most people to see where their money really goes (including me). Perhaps you could start a blog on how to keep your books?

There are many forms of intelligence, not just the ones we have defined at this point in time. It's interesting that a moron like Bush can be President, while your son with an IQ of 140 can't be the equivalent here in Oz.

So how are your plans going for the catering biz? Is this a short-term or longer-term plan?

Much better! Love the goal!!! ;)

I noticed that your confession is about brokers and you're a broker...is this what led you into this field?

Hey MM, that's great you're looking to do that. The things that are thrown at us in life certainly make us who we are, and I imagine you're all the stronger for having 2 kids with autism. It's something that's not that widely understood in the community (by me either), with myths as to what it is. I saw a doco the other day about the guy who inspired the autistic character in the movie Rain Man - Kim Peek - which was fascinating stuff.

But then when I just looked him up on Wikipedia:

Kim Peek

I noticed that it says that he doesn't have autism, but is a savant...

I've never heard that one, but I like it! An elephant would take some getting through. Would be a bugger to store in the freezer too. :)

Is the business you'd like to do in a completely different field, or related somehow?
