Hello Miffy, I am from the USA, and I came here after marrying an Australian in Hawaii. I'm applying for my permanent residency now, and then in five years I can apply for citizenship. Have you always lived in Australia?

Hello Miffy,
I studied at the Evergreen State College in western Washington State, a few hours south of British Columbia, Canada.
We've just moved to Perth, so now I'm very close to many libraries and I've already spent a day at the State library in Perth.
Thanks for keeping in touch :D

Hi Miffy, we just bought last month. if you look real hard and know your market, you can still pick up bargains. There's a few units in Brisbane that we looked at that were around the $300k mark. These were all 2 bedroom units. We were really picky with ours, and many of the units we looked at were pretty shabby. Ended up buying a 2bed 2 Bath 1 LUG for $327k, we bargained down from $357k. With the interest rates going down and the FHOG up to $14k, it was really easy. Mind you, our bank let us use our FHOG as a 5% deposit, which enabled us to cut down on LMI and get a line of credit loan.

There are many investors who are a bit worried or stretched financially, and are looking to sell. As a first home buyer, it is much easier to get in to the market now, compared to a year ago(but only if your finances and security allow)

HeyYa Miffy,

I was studying business and international relations, and I stopped because I ran out of money and was not able to borrow enough to keep going. Returning would be difficult because the Evergreen State College (in Olympia, USA) gives out neither grades nor credit, so I cannot easily transfer my previous college work to another school, and I do not want to move back to Olympia.

Honestly, I'm not too concerned. I can't change the past and what I really want is to work with a mentor who will teach me about CFDs in exchange for my labour. I have a lot of skills, so I would be valuable to someone who can use a good PA.

Keep in Touch, Cake

We sold the property ...at a loss. We borrowed money at 12.5 % , within a short time the interest rates went to over 18%
