Please check your dockets! Supermarkets can put two items on your dockets sometimes, when you've only bought one item. I check my dockets at home, but really should check at the end of the checkout or in the car, before I go home. So far I've had my money back or been given that item charged. I'm waiting for the day they won't believe me.............!

Clever! I will be checking too now, thanks for the tip.
yes do...I have noticed I get overcharged at the checkout 8/10 times....yes always stuff i buy on special charged at normal price
Yeah that's happened to me too.. It's a hassle but you end up getting the item for free when you point it out especially at the supermarket.
I didn't realise you get items for free if supermarkets charge you normal price instead of special price. Now I'll be on to that as well!
Shopping is enough hassle without having to worry about more hassles!
I'm guilty of never checking supermarket dockets, and this extends to credit card statements too... I know, I know, I should be checking them both. Will try to do this in the future, particularly my CC statements.

It got me thinking - we "trust" that a lot of companies get things right when they bill us, particularly utility companies such as telephones, gas, electricity and water. While we have a means to check the electricity and water I've never done this (nor would I really know what to do) but with the phone and gas, how on earth can you know whether or not they're just adding a little cream on top?
I've had to go through all my Telstra bills to make sure they're not overcharging me as I've heard of others being overcharged.
I looked through my bank statement & realised a couple of charges taken out that I don't know what they are. I rang the bank & they're looking into it.
