I'm in need of ways to make some money and currently looking at so many online ideas. from ebay to google money pro. Even looking at a site that said 'HOW I EARN £14,576.92 PER MONTH" selling for 39.99 pound. Is anyone out there using any of these and really making money? I'm looking at these because I am really short of funds to do anything else. Please help........
I'd steer clear of sites like "How I earn £14,576.92 per month" because the way they're probably making it is from selling these "ideas"!
There's no quick and easy way to make money, but if you're willing to put in time and effort there are plenty of opportunities. You have to be patient though.
What do you need the money for? How much do you need? Are you after income or a lump sum? What is your timeframe for making the amount of money you need? We can all probably help more if you have the answers to these questions.
Thank you for all the replies. I sincerely thank all the input.
Cut a long long story short. I'm unable to work and home bounded due to illness and breakup. Desperate to find ways to make income online to pay mortgage and bills. Lost a lot of $ trusting friends that I cannot recoup. I have to start my earning life all over again from scratch. That is learning as well as earning!
I have been spending lots of time on the internet in search of new skill or ways such as those mentioned. The "How I earn...." was advertised on the MySpace website. Then there is the ebay phenomenon. Perhaps learn how to sell stuff there beginning with my own stuff :(
I have the time and will put in the effort. I have the patient but might not have the time to wait. I need to earn an income "yesterday" so to speak.
Then there is the CFDs / Options trading, the e-mini trading but all require huge "Education" fees to begin with which I haven't got. Hence the turning to those offer huge income or return for very little COST. I have wasted much $ already in the past and not willing to anymore that's why I request help here!!!!
I even got sent a "Secret Business" plan that teach you how to recover money for people and you get a fee for it and it cost $3999.00.
I am willing to work but must be at home and very little cost!
Hope to hear from you all again with great anticipation.
The eBay plan isn't such a bad one - start with your own stuff and build it into a little business of your own by starting to sell other things. You will need a plan to figure out the logistics of buying stuff wholesale and then delivering it to your clients. Anyone have any input on this?
Don't buy into any of these courses!! The only person who will get rich is the person selling them!
I feel for you with your current situation...not easy to start again from scratch. But you must not panic and jump into something - there's an old chinese proverb:
"The shortest route is to take the longest route first"
Basically, short cuts often take you the wrong way and end up taking longer.
A couple of things you can do are:
1. Start up a home-based business, selling items that you can easily deliver. This is easier said than done as you have little capital, so it would have to keep inventory low and have a means to sell items to lots of people. EBay is not a bad option, but there's lots of competition there. And with the economy slowing a bit, this may not be the best option.
2. Learn a new skill, that you can use from home - building websites (you need to learn how to use DreamWeaver), Photoshop, graphic design, anything to do with IT. You can easily access a global market for your services through sites like ODesk.com, where people bid for projects.
3. Try to get a job as a telemarketer. Lots of these jobs are home-based these days, and you can earn good money if you are good at it. Seek.com.au, CareerOne.com.au are the places to start, as well as the classifieds in all the major and regional papers.
The key is to steer clear of any get rich quick scheme. They do not exist, except to make the person selling the scheme rich at the expense of people in your situation. If you try to follow this route, your situation is bound to only get worse.
Thank you JFK:)
I think I will try #1 by selling all that I owned but can afford to go without items on eBay to begin with. Perhaps that can turn into a business eventually LOL. My friend already started the process under the id of eva2me for me.
At the same time I will have a look at the other options you mentioned!! That oDesk idea sounds great.
Hello Matthew Reader,
I'm semi-retired and would like to work from home and I would like to help my family as well as taking trips around Australia. I'm not aiming high nor am I looking for a lump sum, $500 to maybe $1000 would be wonderful per month. The timeframe is within a year or beyond. I've been looking all of this year, unfortunately it a scary prospect because they are so many in fact thousands of these Internet scam jobs on offer.
I would be grateful if you could advise me how to find a work from home
possibility. Thanking in anticipation. Madeleine
This is not quite work from home but...when I was at uni during an exam, I was talking to one of the exam supervisors who was semi-retired and worked during exam time to get a few $$ for holidays. Your situation reminds me of his.
Not sure if you would like this but it is a nice job for a semi-retiree and it covers similar jobs like exam supervisors for schools and unis or supervisors for polling booths. They aren't jobs that are too stressful since you walk around and make sure everyone is behaving but you could be pretty bored if you are more active or social.
Some other ideas are doing surveys online or registering with a market research company that will call u when they have a survey come up. Usually for the non-online ones you will have to travel to somewhere local to do a face to face survey and there aren't always many of them so it is a very casual job. Also, mystery shopping is similar but I've never tried that. Some online survey sites:
- www.emailcash.com.au (sends u a cheque when u've accumulated enough points)
- www.yourvoice.com.au (u don't get cash but u can exchange points for gift cards like wish or coles/myer)
- au.lightspeedpanel.com (u can get money thru paypal again via a points system)
U probably have to join quite a few because they sometimes take forever to ask u to do any online surveys and the points take ages to accumulate.
If you can handle them, have u thought of baby sitting at home? Almost everyone with kids needs childcare. But that also depends on how active you are since kids can be a handful. Also, tutoring primary school is ok too. Sometimes all the kids need is someone there to read aloud to! My sister actually has a tutoring student which she does that for.
My experience of these "money making ideas" is that they prey on people in real need of funds now. A little while ago I thought I was in real need of some quick funding and i started to look into some of these ventures. The more I looked the less attractive they became.
My research showed that the way to make 14576.92 per month was to sell packages for 39.95 each promising to make just under 15000 per month :-). These sites cost little to set up and have low overhead they participate in an affiliate system where they get a kickback from sending people to other sites and if they make a purchase then some filters back. Have a look at the web address and you can see the kickback component.
The numbers quoted are the best case condition and are the exception as opposed to the rule.
If you can impliment their system and build a big enough network then yes you can make some money but my research shows that it is not as rosy as they make out.
Sorry to be being negative, that is not my usual style, but the majority of these schemes are seriously flawed and border on pyramid selling and or selling air. BTW I wish I had thought up the idea to sell water at a greater price per litre than petrol :-)
My view is that if you are selling something of real value people will purchase and continue to purchase, if you are selling a promise then you can only sell to new customers.
I'm with kinda with JFK & Bandwidth... those who can do, those who can't teach.
I dated a guy in marketing, I am very dubious about any marketing campaigns... it's all designed to create a desire for you to want their product.
We all suggesting for you to earn more money....Can I suggest (and maybe you are already doing it!)... but instead of earning more money in, spend less.
I would advocate www.simplesavings.com.au or a similar site? ... some people love it, some don't.

Australian remains a cash-based society but the use of plastic and debit cards is growing as consumers seek more convenient payment methods, the RBA says.

The extension of time for the enhanced first home grants puts more borrowers at risk of default, as the spectre of double-digit unemployment looms, an academic says.
