Try this

Get 3 to 4 meals from a single chook

Buy a whole chicken roast it with veges, Add flavour by pushing a tasty sauce under the skin eg Tandori paste. Maybe even some sliced garlic or lemons or limes or onions or chillies or bacon or procuitto any combination

Cut off the Maryland (combined drumstick and thigh

Remove all the skin and place in a pot, together with and juics in the roasting dish

Enjoy the maryland and raost vegies maybe with some steamed corn cobs

Cut all the the bones in half and put in with the sauce and skin

When the chicken cools remove the breasts, starting at the bottom and pealing away from the bone. Use this for Salad and or sandwiches

Chop up the carcass and put in the stock pot with the rest

In the stock pot

Cut an onion in half, cut a whole clove of garlic through the middle, dozen black peppercorns, maybe a sliced chilli, add any vege peals and or any tired veges in the fridge, Just cover with water simmer for one to two of hours checking water. Turn off, leave overnight then bring to the boil next day.

Sieve out the solids, skim off the fat and you now have the basis for a soup and or a chicken stock.

A really cheap easy meal is make up a vege soup with the stock some sliced veges and preferred flavourings, get some Aldi Dim Sims 3.20 for 30, three or four per person put a steamer on top of the soup add Dim Sims and steam for the required time. Bamboo steamers are available at any Asian supermarket.

cover top of pie with cheese add tomato sprinkle with black pepper and maybe some tobasco add mushroom, drizzle with some olive oil and maybe some grated parmisan.

Bake as per instructions and enjoy alone or with steamed veges

Easy cheap and Yum
