Take some time, grab a nice red and wrap your mind around this.

Look forward to the lists

Well, we're all going to kick it at some stage, so it's appropriate for even us non-boomers.

1st class trip to Paris
Skydiving
Tell my boss off
Mile high club ;)
Then maybe in a private Jet
This reminds me of Homer Simpson's "bucket list" (not a bad list):

1. Make list
2. Eat a hearty breakfast
3. Make videotape for Maggie
4. Have man-to-man with Bart
5. Listen to Lisa play her sax
6. Make funeral arrangement
7. Make peace with Dad
8. Beer with the boys at the bar
9. Tell off boss
10. Go hang gliding
11. Plant a tree
12. A final dinner with my beloved family
13. Be intimate with Marge
14. Watch the sunrise
Homer's list is pretty good. Will have to have a long think about mine. BTW, thanks for reminding me of my inevitable demise Bandwidth ;)
More reminding how much fun you can have b4 you get there
1. Tell my parents I love them!
2. Tell my family and friends I love love them!!

XXX
1. Climb to base camp on Everest
2. Save a piece of the Earth from destruction (by owning a piece of land that can't be developed, or should I say, destroyed by humans)
3. Learn a foreign language
4. Confront my biggest enemy
5. Contact an old friend I haven't seen in too long
6. Run the City to Surf
7. Run naked along a beach (maybe after the City to Surf ;), nah, I mean an empty beach)

An interesting thing I noticed here when writing my list was how none related to money...same goes for the others who have written here, aside from a trip here or there.

Are we chasing the wrong thing in the Western world?

Money is purely the means that assists in enabling the end.

The often misquoted statement "Money the the root of all evil" is actually "The love of money is a root to evil".

Money has no intrinsic value it is simply a method of storing value today for use tomorrow.

As quoted by a number of wealthy people when asked does money make you happy "No but sure as s..t helps".
all true Bandwidth.
the love of money is a root of evil, according to the Good Book.

but what if the money loves me? Is that bad? :D
Then you have to love it back a little ;) It would be cruel if you didn't...
Then love what it can do for you
of to semantics :-)

Cliff Mearns replied to Cliff Mearns's discussion Bankruptcy -v Debt Agreement
"Ben, let's not lose the loop. How financiers view bankruptcy is not relevant to the discussion of an individual's capacity to pay something. Bankruptcy is being utilised as a means of evading debt obligations. "

Bankruptcy ben replied to Cliff Mearns's discussion Bankruptcy -v Debt Agreement
"I agree with the setiment however in reality there's nothing to encourage an individual to make a payment with a Debt Agreement! While technically it's different most financial companies regard it as the same as bankruptcy."
